Druff did a nice job recapping the history of Whiskey Pete's. I thought that I's share a few $1 chips from my collection. Note how the location changed over the years from Clark County to Jean to Primm.

from the early 1980's

released in 1989

released in 1997

final version released in 1997

The other 2 casino mentioned were the Primadonna and Buffalo Bill's.
The Primadonna opened in 1990 and operated under that name until 1997 when it because Primm Valley Resort & Casino. (This should not be confused with Del Webb's Prima Donna which was located in Reno.) Primm Valley has since removed all table games and is a "slots only" caisno. Here are a few of their $1 chips from my collection:

1990 - 1997

1997 - 2024
Buffalo Bill's opened in 1994 and also listed their location as Jean until the city changed their name to Primm in 1996. In 2024 all table games became electronic and chips were no longer needed.

1994 - 1996

1997 - 2024

Jan. 10, 2025-
The paranormal reality TV show 'Ghost Adventures' has been filming at Whiskey Pete's in Primm, according to a source. The ghost of 1920s bootlegger "Whiskey Pete" McIntyre has long been rumored to haunt the recently closed, always spooky casino.

Not sure if the sign is being dismantled or deteriorating.

It got permission to stay closed but licensed until December 2026.
They're hoping the discussed Primm Airport (not joking) will get it business again.
